1)A PC with sound recording software, Windows Sound Recorder is OK (Windows Sound Recorder is under "Start->All Programs->Accessories->Entertainment->Sound Recorder").

By default, Windows Sound Recorder records only 60 seconds. You need to click the Rec button again once it gets to the end. That will add 60 more seconds to the buffer, you can keep doing this if you need more time.

Other Software

For better results, we'd reccomend GoldWave There is a demo version that can record sound and do other sound editing too. It can also convert .wav files to mp3 files if you installed the mp3 encoder as the software instructed.

Recording process

1) Use Window Media Play or RealOne Player to play the accompaniment(伴奏），listen to the accompaniment through the headphone.

2) Sing to the microphone, and record the sound by either Windows Sound Recorder or GoldWave. Save the file to your PC.

1) Open a New File. Set the recording time to cover the length of your song.

2) Click Start Record button, start sing

3) Click Stop record button when you are done singing

4) Save the recording As

Additional Notes

1) If you don't listen the accompaniment throught the headphone, the music will be recorded with your voice together. It is good if you want to hear the final result immediately. It is bad that you can't edit your voice to make any changes if you want.

2) GoldWave allows you to re-mix the voice and music together in a nicer way. But of course, it takes time and is fun to experiment with the software.
